Newgen’s Low-Code Application Platform (LCAP) supports a range of identity and access management vendors, including Okta, Ping Identity, ForgeRock, and IBM.

NewgenONE Platform enables role-based access with varying rights customized for different user roles, including business analysts, pro developers, data engineers, and DevOps managers. This includes object-level access controls for users, groups, and other roles across developer tools such as process modeler, interface designer, data management, integrations, business rules, and DevOps. It offers a robust framework of administrative roles, each tailored to ensure effective management and operation of the platform:

  • System Admins: Responsible for overseeing platform settings, managing user accounts, and maintaining security protocols. They ensure the smooth operation of the entire system by configuring and monitoring the platform’s core settings and user permissions.
  • IT Admins: Focus on the technical aspects of the platform, including managing infrastructure, handling integrations, and ensuring system stability. They optimize the technical environment to support seamless operations and integrations with other systems.
  • Business Admins: Serve as a bridge between technical and business needs by focusing on application development and user support. They ensure that the platform’s capabilities align with business objectives and provide necessary support to users for efficient application utilization.
  • Data/Integration Admins: Handle the management of data sources and integrations, ensuring secure and compliant data handling. They oversee data governance, manage integration points, and ensure data flows smoothly and securely across systems.
  • User Experience Managers: Design and optimize user interfaces, ensuring a smooth and intuitive user journey. They ensure the design aligns with branding guidelines and enhances the overall user experience.
  • Deployment Managers: Oversee the deployment process of applications, ensuring that updates and new releases are efficiently managed and reach production environments without issues. They coordinate with development and IT teams to streamline the deployment pipeline.
  • Development Admins: Oversee development projects, enforce best practices, and maintain quality through rigorous code review workflows. They ensure development activities adhere to standards and practices promoting high-quality, maintainable code.

NewgenONE supports these roles with detailed role-based access and authorization policies, ensuring secure and efficient management across all administrative functions. These policies provide granular control over permissions and access, aligning with the responsibilities and needs of each administrative role.
