The school was established in 1989 and celebrated its 35th year in July 2024, is a state board-recognized institution that caters to students from nursery to 8th standards. Reaches out to 240 students from diverse backgrounds, and few with special needs, enables them to learn and grow together.
Objective
This initiative supports integration of underprivileged children, including those admitted under the Right to Education Act, into the mainstream school system. It aims to provide quality education through access to the best resources and guidance.
The program focuses on developing self-learners by enabling students to access information easily, learn at their own pace, and explore personal interests. It also promotes collaboration, mindfulness, and exposure to diverse skills and disciplines, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
After school classes: to ensure that these children are at the front of their respective classes, focus will be on them. Dedicated classes will be scheduled to strengthen the basics of phonics, comprehension, creative writing and conversation.
Multidisciplinary exposure through Workshops: in a wide gamut of areas including Visual and Performing Arts and Creative Writing.
Art, Music, Dance, Theatre, Yoga and Story Telling: aims to promote imagination, leading up to children writing and illustrating their own story books. Reading about inspirational changemakers from different fields and visionary leaders that form a part of the curriculum.
Libraries and Reading rooms: Separate dedicated Libraries for the Juniors and Seniors. While the older children prefer to read quietly, the younger ones are more animated.
STEM: focus on Mathematics and Programming skills. It is through this exposure and then integration that children see the connection between what they learn in different subjects. Only then are they able to apply what they learn; thereafter understanding, analysing and finding solutions to real world problems.
Excursions and local tours: to heritage sites, explorations of the rich tapestry of culture – music, dance, crafts of the city, and Science centres / Botanical gardens will be a regular feature. We will use visits to Art exhibitions and local events to broaden their horizon of awareness.
Children with special needs: external Consultant and Special Educator design individualised education plans (IEP) for them, catering to their specific need and ability. Regular monitoring, assessment and parent interaction have helped us provide them with an inclusive classroom, where everyone benefits.
