Newgen CSR – 10 Years of Changing Lives

March 31, 2026 – Newgen CSR is celebrating 10 years of its journey towards bringing sustainable growth aimed at nation-building.

Newgen initiated its flagship CSR initiative – Newgen Digital Discovery Paathshala (NDDP) in 2016, based on the idea of the company’s MD that digital empowerment is the need of the hour and will open various opportunities for less privileged children.

Under the umbrella of NDDP, we adopted two government girls’ senior secondary schools in the vicinity and developed state-of-the-art digital labs where daily sessions helped the students gain knowledge and develop a self-learning habit through fun teaching methods. Every year, we work with approximately 3,000 girls from classes 6th-8th, and over the course of 10 years, we have reached 26,000+ girls.

As COVID struck, the program switched to online mode, and iPads and tablets were provided to ensure continuity of studies for students. Realizing the need for mental health management, online sessions on balancing emotions were also conducted.

Post-COVID, we continued distributing tabs and, to date, have provided over 3,000 devices. The NDDP program adopted a hybrid model, enabling us to reach more students and expand the thematic areas of the sessions. The NDDP students graduating from class 6^th become part of the NDDP Alumni, with whom we offer career mentoring, peer leadership training, and STEM sessions to support holistic growth. Personality development sessions were scaled up, and English Communication was included for all the NDDP grades, focusing on confidence-building and life skills. Educational scholarship support has been organized for over 150 NDDP students who have passed class 12 and are pursuing higher education.

In 2023, we initiated the community involvement vertical and launched the Samarth Saarthi Samuh with the mothers of the NDDP students. In 2024, the establishment of a Skill Development Center in Okhla expanded the program’s horizon to women’s empowerment through vocational training, digital literacy, financial management, and mental well-being. Currently, nearly 100 mothers are being trained at the Center, and over 800 are part of the Samuh.

The strategic partnerships to expand the reach with NGOs, namely KHUSHII, KK Academy, Computer Shiksha, and The Akshaya Patra Foundation, support the implementation of projects on remedial education, computer literacy, and nutrition, respectively. Over the decade, the partner projects have benefited 52,000+ students through remedial and holistic education, reached 5lac+ students through computer literacy, and provided 85lac+ mid-day meals.

Further, professionals from IAm have provided support on mental health, well-being, and personality development to over 14,000 women and students. Trainers from Each One Feed One support the vocational training of 100 women at the Skill Development Center.
