Enabling digital literacy in the interiors of the country

Newgen Software partners with Computer Shiksha to bring Computer Literacy to 305 schools with 75,000 under-served students across India

Our impact

Under its flagship initiative Newgen Digital Discovery Paathshala (NDDP), 3,800 government school girls have been digitally empowered, with over 2,500+ receiving smart devices.

To combat the zero hunger mission, over 11 lac mid-day meals have been distributed in rural areas in partnership with Akshaya Patra. Additionally, 10,000 students received remedial education, and 250 underprivileged students benefited from holistic education programs.

Our aim was to ignite curiosity in the young minds, and awareness of the world around them by giving them a hands-on experience with the digital device and sensitising them to use the device to gain knowledge. When I reflect on the past few years, I see that our ambition of providing girls with access to digital education and knowledge is slowly coming true. With greater energy, passion, and dedication, we intend to take bigger strides in the years to come.

Preamble

The concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has gained significant prominence in recent years, and it is seen as a sustainable way for organizations to give back to the society and mitigate the negative impacts of industrialization and business activities.

At Newgen, reaching out to under-served communities is ingrained in our organization’s DNA. Our objective is to seamlessly integrate CSR into our core business processes, fostering sustainable development, and engaging with stakeholders in a meaningful way.

Our mission is to enhance the growth of underprivileged children in India by improving their education and life quality, aiming to boost India’s Human Development Index (HDI).
