Fullerton India won the Gold Award for the Pacific Rim region at the Global Awards for Excellence in BPM and Workflow 2008, one of the most prestigious awards for BPM implementation worldwide. The award-winning BPM implementation was done by Newgen Software. Co-sponsored by BPM Focus, Future Strategies Inc. and bpm.com, the awards recognize user organizations that have demonstrably excelled in implementing innovative business process solutions to meet strategic business objectives. Particular attention is paid to implementations that have showed processes extending beyond the corporate boundaries to support customers, suppliers, trading partners and more.

FICCL provides all kinds of secured and unsecured loans to the two segments—Commercial Mass Market (catering to self employed) and Retail Mass Market (catering to salaried class). FICCL planned for rapid rollout of branch network to quickly reach a large customer base. The company’s objective was to achieve lean but profit-oriented branches, reduce turn-around-times, lower cost of operations and better customer experience. With Newgen’s proven BPM solution, FICCL managed to open more than 800 branches within two years—an outstanding achievement of opening more that one branch every day for two years. This first-of-its-kind BPM solution resulted in substantial process improvement, rapid results, visibility and control at FICCL, along with increase in revenues and employee job satisfaction.

The annual Global Awards for Excellence in BPM and Workflow are co-sponsored by WfMC, BPMFocus.org and BPM.com, and are now in their 15th year. While judging the winners, particular attention is paid to implementations that have showed processes extending beyond the corporate boundaries to support customers, suppliers, trading partners and more. There are five geographical regions: Europe, Middle East Africa, North America, Pacific Rim, and South and Central America. Each region receives one Gold and one Silver Award.
